Florence Motor Speedway and Southern National Motorsports Park Partner with Ultra Racing Association for 2025 Season

 

In 2025, Florence Motor Speedway and Southern National Motorsports Park will join forces with the Ultra Racing Association (URA) in an exciting new partnership genuinely designed for racers by racers. URA, a leading sanctioning body, offers numerous benefits, including comprehensive insurance coverage, competitive points systems, and exciting year-end celebrations for participants. This collaboration provides short tracks with an innovative alternative to traditional sanctioning bodies, focusing on reducing licensing fees and reinvesting in racers’ programs.

 

Steve Zacharias, owner of Florence Motor Speedway, shared: “We are excited to be a part of the conception of what could be a huge deal in the short-track world!” Michael Diaz, owner of Southern National Motorsports Park, added: “I’m really looking forward to being part of URA in its inaugural season and seeing how it can benefit short tracks and our drivers!” Florence Motor Speedway General Manager Brian Vause echoed their sentiments: “The upcoming race season is shaping up to be another successful one. Introducing Ultra Broadcasting for 2025

Another groundbreaking addition for 2025 is Ultra Broadcasting, a new platform designed to deliver live event coverage from both facilities and expand to additional racetracks. Ultra Broadcasting will be spearheaded by Topper Media, a company founded by Joe Maylish, who brings over 30 years of motorsports experience and two decades of corporate expertise.

Mark Your Calendar: 2025 Season Opener

The 2025 URA season will begin with The Icebreaker on the weekend of February 8 at Florence Motor Speedway. This highly anticipated event will feature a 125-lap showdown among North America’s top short-track racers at the historic 4/10-mile oval in Timmonsville, South Carolina. This race will be the first URA-sanctioned event broadcast live on Ultra Broadcasting.
